Getting there
boat, car. The Berisha ferry lands here from Koman and turns round at 13:00, and guesthouse transfers run on from the landing up the Valbonë valley. By road it is Bajram Curri, which is a long way round and the only option outside the ferry season.
Parking: Parking at the landing, though most people arrive without a car.
Photography
Best light: morning.
The gorge is the subject and it photographs on the way up rather than at the landing, which the boat reaches in the late morning with the light already high. Check drone requirements with the AAC before travelling.
Drone: not confirmed. Albania's registration requirement is reported differently by every secondary source, so verify with the AAC before you fly.
Fierzë is a place you pass through rather than visit, and it still decides trips. It is the upstream end of the Koman ferry, the point where the boat turns round, and the road head for transfers up the Valbonë valley. Everything about it follows the timetable.
The Berisha ferry runs daily from 15 April to 5 November and states plainly that it does not run in winter. Outside that window Fierzë is reachable only by the road through Bajram Curri, which is usually approached from the Kosovo side, and there is not much reason to make the journey.
If Valbonë is the destination, book the onward transfer with your guesthouse before you sail. The boat lands in the late morning, the vehicles leave when it does, and there is no service here to fall back on.
