When does the Koman ferry stop for the winter?
5 November. The operator states it does not run between 6 November and 14 April. The Dragobia boat continues every day of the year for residents and visitors, as a local service rather than the scenic crossing.
When does the Theth road close?
There is no fixed date. The road authority clears snow and closes the road when it is unsafe, so from November it can shut for days at a time, and it reopens once it has been cleared.
Is November worth it at all?
For Tirana and the UNESCO towns, yes: it is mild, crowd-free and cheap. For anything north of Shkodër or on a beach, no.
