The ferry season opens
On 15 April the Koman ferry starts running daily and the north becomes a route rather than a dead end. The Theth road is usually open by now, but not always and never on a promise. Everything inland is at its best: green, mild and empty.

15 April, then daily until 5 November. Berisha leaves Koman at 09:00 and Fierza at 13:00. EUR 9 booked online, EUR 10 or 1,000 lek in cash at the port.
Can you hike Valbonë to Theth in April?
Not reliably. Snow lingers on the 1,795 m pass well past the road reopening. The crossing is a June to September proposition.
Is April warm enough for the beach?
The air is, at about 19°C, but the sea is at 16°C. April is a walking and driving month on the coast, not a swimming one.
