Both Albanias open at once
For a few weeks in June the Alps and the coast are both in season and neither is full. The trails open around mid-month, the sea reaches 22°C, and the festival calendar starts: Kala at Dhërmi and UNUM at Shëngjin both run in the first half. Book the Riviera before you arrive.

When is Kala Festival?
2 to 9 June 2027 at Dhërmi, per the festival's own site. The 2026 edition ran 3 to 10 June. It sells out months ahead and it fills the whole village.
Is UNUM Festival still running?
Yes. The 2026 edition ran 4 to 8 June at SET Beach, Shëngjin, its sixth, and sold faster than any previous year.
Can you hike Valbonë to Theth in June?
From about mid-June, yes. It is 15-17 km village to village, or 9.5 km if you take the usual transfer to the Rrogam trailhead, over a pass at 1,795 m, and it takes five to eight hours. No guide is needed.
Is June too busy for the Riviera?
Busy, not saturated. The crowd curve steepens in July. What June does not forgive is booking late during a festival week.
